Bigtopmania is a friendly, family owned company that has been in the marquee hire business for some years now but originally established in the Leisure and Events Business and Show Business world way back in 1987. The owner, Pete Wintercrane has worked as an entertainer all those years and has performed his shows and wacky style of entertainment all over the country and around the world. He has had some exposure on TV, the West End and is often called upon for several of his skills.
The marquee-hire side of the business grew for his work within the circus world and he always had a desire to run his own show and own his own Big Top. Keeping it to a manageable level for some time Bigtopmania acquired and used a small Big Top, originally made by Peter Jolly's circus for another circus company. From there, the work has mushroomed and some years later the equipment is renewed and the range expanded.
Bigtopmania is now a source of marquees, big tops, circus tents and party marquees for hire, rent and for use with their own productions. Bigtopmania specialises in the smaller sizes of big tops and offers a very personal service.
Though based in Devon, (confusingly with a Cornish postal address!) Bigtopmania works nationwide.
They have a range of associated equipment typical of marquee hire companies, which is frequently up dated, including marquee electrics and lighting, marquee flooring such as coconut matting and carpet, chairs, tables, décor and a large amount of circus equipment that is often added to the package. If they don't have it, then they know where to get it from or may get it especially for your job. Given a lot of our work is for celebratory events, we want things to be colourful, attractive and fun!
We follow industry standards and government guidelines in all our activities.
Health and safety is paramount and we try to add to our skills all the time. Recently we have done course in child protection, first aid and electrical Pat Testing.
All our activities are fully insured and risk assessed and all relevant documents are made available to clients, event managers and for relevant licensing authorities.

Directions
We are based in West Devon near to Cornwall and work from home base. We will come to you for meetings and site visits where needed. There is normally no need for you to come to us.
